The Can Tho Bridge is a symmetrical dual plane hybrid stay cable bridge with a total length of 1,010 m, consisting of a main-span of 550 m and side-spans of 230m. The approach bridges have a length of 880 m (Super T Girder) + 340 m (Box Girder) on 1 side and 520 m (Super T Girder) on another side. The main bridge multi cell box girder has a width of 26.0 m and depth of 2.7 m. The top of Pier table is 35.6 m from top of pilecap. The Pylon structure is 170.3m tall from top of pilecap, width in the
longitudinal direction of bridge is 7 m. Width in transverse direction is varying from 7.3 m to 5 m. Cable stay anchorage area is prestressed concrete. Steel platforms are also installed inside the Tower. Once completed, Can Tho Bridge shall be the largest Cable stay Bridge in South East Asia.

Chi Thang's Scope of Works

Acting as member of the Main Contractor team, our team is in charge of the full Pylon construction (North Pylon) excluding permanent material supply and major falsework. Our team is also full in charge of the maintenance of the 2 tower cranes (400 ton metre), 6 Alimak hoists, supply and maintenance of 3 nos 220 kVA generators, 1 nos 390 cfm air compressors, water supply system, 1 nos. 11 ton HIAB trucks, 1 nos. 25 ton rough terrain crane, 1 nos. 6 tons forklift 4 sets of DOKA automatic climbing formwork system.

Next August, and after a year of intense work, three Comansa Jie cranes will finish the extension of the Fujian power plant, owned by public company "China National Offshore Oil Corporation" (CNOOC), the third biggest oil company in the country. Located in the city of Putian, on the southeast province of Fujian in China, the plant operates since 2007 transforming liquefied natural gas into electric power.
